Let the BRR Training Begin: Grandfather Mountain Marathon – July 12, 2008

On Saturday 3 of the 4 person BRR team will begin our official build-up for the 208-mile relay at the Grandfather Mountain Marathon in and around Boone, NC.  Dual focus to our training:  1) we will practice waking up at 3:30am and driving to the start line (much like we do for the relay) and 2) we will get in a long hilly run – some of which takes place on the 14th leg of the BRR course.  To our 4th man in the relay (you know who you are, but in the event you might be in denial, you are the one dodging moose in your locale), we expect to see a 2-digit number starting with a 2 in an upcoming run.
